Fundamental principles: Foreign Language courses are not like other courses so you must never procrastinate. If you drag your feet over any foreign language course, you can be assured of failure where you are required to put in a minimum of 3 hours weekly and 15 minutes on a daily basis. While you need not put in more than 45 minutes learning the language in one session, try to accommodate all the extra time you have in your hands.

Divide your lessons into many smaller sessions. It is imperative that you attend classes regularly, if you are sincere about your intentions of learning the language and pass the course. You could revisit your learning off and on and check what your have learnt in the past, for example the vocabulary. Here are some pointers given below which can make the job of learning a foreign language a walk in the park.

Look up only those words which cannot even be guessed or determined based on context. Glance through the text book chapters every day taking one small section at a time.

Start expressing: Do not feel shy of mistakes, simply listen to others and start to communicate yourself. Learn how you can start to communicate in the foreign language when you talk loudly to your friends in the class, to your self or even to the dog or cat who lives in your home.

Noting it down: Know how to express yourself in writing everyday till it comes a part of you.

Follow a dictation of the language and check how much of it you have written correctly.

Miscellany: Study the foreign language with a positive frame of mind, have pre-set objectives and goals. Be clear about your learning goals and the avenues you ought to take to achieve those goals.

1.f you need help get it and do not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help for fear of sounding stupid, or being embarrassed.Ask questions, get help and never feel awkward to ask for assistance.

2.Get audio tapes of the language and listen to them or make you own tapes and listened to yourself in order to perfect your pronunciation.To excel in pronunciation, listen to audio tape of others made with the language or record something yourself and listen to them.

3.Try making colored flash cards for improving vocabulary where you use different colors for the different genders and categories of words like nouns, verbs, etc. 4.Make studying a group experience where your classmates can also help.
